Skater skirt

Fluffy Cardigan: Primark (similar)
Cotton Shirt: New Look
Leather Cutout Boots: H&M
Cuff, Ring, Necklace: all* Rings & Tings

Loving these new pieces of jewellery kindly sent to me by Rings & Tings, they've got lots of styles and clothing too. I suggest having a look on their website and if you like anything, use the code "STYLECARD10" at the checkout to get 10% off all items!

Ok, I'll admit it, I am obsessed with my H&M boots, they're super comfortable, have worn them quite a few times and still look like new and am even considering getting another pair of boots from the H&M website. I've been thinking about them for quite a while actually... so should I get them?

L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum

L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum
L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum
L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum

Ever since discovering serums I love using them because they are a great product and would definitely encourage trying them, as they have concentrated skincare ingredients designed to target different skin concerns, meaning you'll see results in less time than you would with a cream.

The L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum claims to improve visible skin quality by refining skin texture, tightening pores and evening and brightening the skin tone, thanks to it's 2 key ingredients "LR 2412" and "Perline-P".

Other ingredients include glycerin, which moisturises the skin; dimethicone and other silicones, to make skin feel silky and enhance the skin's texture and appearance visibly; eperua falcata bark extract which reduces skin hyper-reactivity and protects against inflammation; and lentil seed extract which diminishes the appearance of dilated pores over time for a soft, smooth and even surface.

In the ingredient list "LR 24212" and "Perline-P" are not mentioned, but I think one 3 actives that form Perline-P must be the lentil seed extract.

The serum has a really light consistency with a slight pink iridescent tone to it, and small sparkling particles in it, which help skin give a bit of a glow. When I apply the serum, it is absorbed instantly and makes my skin feel silky soft and moisturised. I've used it for a while now and it has helped to get rid of some dry patches of skin that I had, it also seems to have improved the texture of my skin a bit and pore size ever so slightly.

The only thing I don't like about this serum is that when washing my face in the evening it can be quite hard for my cleanser to lather up for some reason.

I will continue to use it in hopes of it improving the look of my skin even more, and would probably repurchase. If you are in your 20s to 30s I would recommend this serum, as it helps improve the quality of skin but doesn't target signs of ageing.

L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum retails for £16.99 and can be purchased in Boots and Superdrug (currently on offer for £11.32).

Have you tried this serum?

Rainy day

There are some days when it is cold and gray and you just want to stay in bed and snuggle up under the covers.

Photography is one of the things I've liked for as long as I can remember, along with illustration, and now that my dear husband got me a camera for our anniversary last month I've been taking a few pictures which I will be posting on the blog as well :)

Jumper: H&M
Shirt: Primark

It's already starting to get cold and all I want to do is buy lots of coats, boots and scarves! I get cold really easily so I guess that if I do a lot of winter shopping it will be justified by that haha.

Today I had my haircut, just a little trim but it was free! I got a voucher in a magazine a few months ago and it was good for 3 months so I just waited until I felt like my hair needed a trim.
And last month my hubby got me a new camera for our anniversary and I found that I could send the receipt to get a free case worth £30. I guess you could call me a bargain hunter haha!

New in September

Effaclar Duo: Boots
Garnier Eye Cream: TK Maxx
Botanics Organic Eye Cream: Boots
Thermal Socks: Primark
Oversized Coat: H&M

It's the start of October, so that means it's time for a New in post, even though I didn't get a lot of stuff last month.
I have been going through a bad skin phase so I thought I'd give the so talked about Effaclar Duo a try, and it seemed to be working at first but then I don't know anymore :(
I got a Botanics eye cream together with the Effaclar duo so my total came over £15 and I could use a 200 extra points voucher haha!
It's already getting a bit cold (for me, at least) so warm socks are a must, hence the thermal ones from Primark, and they're only £2.50.
Then we went in TK Maxx in Southend and I saw the Garnier eye cream with SPF (which was what I was acually looking for, an eye cream with SPF) and my hubby got it for me :)
And last but not least, I saw this oversized jacket/coat in H&M a day out in Lakeside and didn't get it, but couldn't stop thinking about it. And a couple of weeks ago I got an email from H&M with a discount code that could be used in the shop. I don't really know why I wasn't subscribed to H&M before when it's my favourite shop.

Have you picked up anything for the new season?
