Rimmel London 60 second nail polish in Princess Pink

Rimmel London 60 second nail polish in Princess Pink

I've recently been getting into nail art, and this time I wanted to do something a bit more simple than the floral design from last time.

Being obsessed with nude nail polishes, I went for a reverse french manicure using Rimmel London 60 second nail polishes in Princess Pink as the base colour and Deliciously Dark for the tips.

Princess Pink is quite sheer, so I needed 3 coats to get an opaque colour, and Deliciously Dark is a dark purple that can look almost black if you use a couple of coats. Both of them are easy to apply because of the formula but especially because of the wide brush, which I love.

You can find Rimmel London 60 second nail polishes in Superdrug and Boots for £3.69.

L'oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream

L'oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream
L'oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream
L'oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream

The new L'oreal Skin Perfection BB Cream 5 in 1 Instant Blemish Balm claims to hydrate for 24 hours, even and brighten skin tone, refine skin texture, reduce the appearance of pores and target the appearance of dark spots. It has SPF 25 and is "enriched with Glycerin, Allantoin and Vitamin Cg, helps correct and improve the appearance of skin quality, as if perfected."

Other ingredients include talc, which mattifies skin and is used on lots of powder foundations; parabens as preservatives; and capryloyl salicylic acid which gently exfoliates the skin and can also be moisturising.

The BB Cream is a bit thick and has a slightly oily sensation, no particular scent and has a pink/peachy undertone to it. I use only a small amount and blend with my fingers, and noticed that if you rub too much it starts to separate or rub off. It does seem to smooth the texture and tone of my skin and is also moisturising, with a semi-matte finish. It doesn't really control shine so I like to set it with a powder after application.

I would recommend this product if you are looking for a light coverage product and have normal skin. If your skin is too dry it might not be moisturising enough, or you could use a separate product for moisture - which is what I do, as it can cling a bit to dry patches. I don't think I would repurchase though, as I would like to try different products until I find "the one" haha.

You can purchase it from Boots and Superdrug for £12.99, but right now it is on offer for £8.66.

I'd never played this GTA game and didn't get what was so awesome about it. Yesterday after our delayed anniversary dinner (I wasn't feeling too great last week) we went and looked in 3 different places to finally find it in a Tesco I hadn't been before. So I played it for a little bit today, and yeah it's fun I guess haha.

Do you like playing any video games?

A day in the woods when we went for a walk. My husband saw a little sign with a hedgehog on it and we started looking for them with no luck. I love hedgehogs and they're one of my favourite animals even though I've never seen one in real life :( haha

Can't believe summer is almost over, after what felt like an infinite winter I definitely don't want to start feeling cold again ;( sniff haha. I do like fall and winter, especially the season appropriate clothing but I don't like being cold all day, sometimes even indoors (hey I'm from the semi-desert north region of Mexico).
On other news I got a sore throat but it's feeling a bit better with all this stuff I'm taking.

What's your favourite season of the year?

All Used Up #3

Welcome to the 3rd edition of All Used Up! I know it's only a few products but I wanted to write about them.

Palmolive Ayurituel energy shower gel: this is part of a new Palmolive shower gel collection that claims to help harmonize and take you to a "new sensorial experience". This product smells really nice, of sandalwood and ginger, which I find it did help me relax a bit when I used it. It lathers up nicely and does what it is supposed to do, but I wish it also was moisturising too. I would repurchase but I'm in no hurry to do so as I prefer moisturising shower products.

Pantene Naturefusion Leave-in conditioner: I'm not sure if this product has been discontinued because I can't find it online and I actually got it from one of those pound shops haha. But it is actually a really nice leave in conditioner, it made my hair soft and smooth (it does contain silicones) and has a nice, slightly sweet smell. It says it helps give your hair a silky, smooth feel, which I agree with. I would repurchase if I can find it again haha. You can find other Pantene leave-in conditioners here.

Neutrogena 2 in 1 wash and face mask: This is a thick face wash that you can use daily or leave it in for 5 minutes and it will act as a mask, leaving your skin with a deep clean feeling. What I didn't like about this product is that when used a mask it dries to a point where it is kind of hard to remove from your skin. Important ingredients: Glycerin, Kaolin, Bentonite, Salicylic Acid, and Lactic Acid. The first one moisturises, the 2nd and 3rd one are clays to draw impurities from the skin, and the acids help with preventing and treating blemishes. I would recommend this product if you suffer with spots.

Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect eye makeup remover: This is one makeup remover that does work. I was drawn at first to it by the bi-phase presentation of it, though it later became annoying (I want to take my makeup off and not spend precious seconds of my time shaking a bottle in order to do so). I would repurchase because it is a really good product, but now that I've finally used it up I'm trying a micellar water to remove my makeup at night. Read my review on this product here.

It's our 1st anniversary tomorrow and I got a gift for my husband but I just get so excited when I get him something that I just want to give it to him straight away. I kept hinting at what it could be and he guessed now haha. I can't help it.

New in: August

It was my birthday last month and I got spoiled by my husband and my family. But I also treated myself a bit so I took advantage of the 3x2 offer on Bourjois and got free sunglasses as well!
I got some cute pjs from my in-laws and my husband got me some skincare, a bag, a leather jacket, a jumper, a cardigan, a dress and a cute card ♥
I used almost all of my points in Boots and got myself the Aveeno Serum and the Superfacialist Neroli Cleanser.
My parents sent me some money and I got those amazing cutout boots from H&M.
And lastly, the voucher rewards of the website I do surveys in finally sent me my vouchers. I haven't used all of them but I did use one to get the cotton white shirt from New Look
I am very happy and grateful to have people that love me so much ♥ Also thanks to all of you who wished me happy birthday :)
